Baby Sprinkle

Blouse: Zara/ Jeans: J Brand/ Navy Iolite Necklace: Boy Cherie/ Gold Horn Necklace: Boy Cherie/ Pearl Bracelet: Boy Cherie

Last Sunday I threw my lovely cousin a Sprinkle party for her expecting baby boy.  Truth be told, I honestly didn't know what a "sprinkle" was till this year when both my sister and cousin were going to have their second babies.  Turns out, they are a lot of fun filled with good food, some presents, and lots of girl time!

Sprinkles are a lot more casual than showers because it's the mommy's second time around, so they are sprinkled with gifts and love.  Because they are a more casual affair, they are really easy to plan!  I sent out evites to family and friends, bought adorable party favors at Sugarfina, and made lunch reservations at True Food Kitchen (one of my favorite restaurants in OC).

It was a perfect afternoon spent catching up on girl time and celebrating my cousin and her baby boy, Ryan.   She also surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and the cutest thank you note.

For the party, I decided to wear white jeans and my new red lace top I bought from Zara.  I think the lace and pop of red really dress up the outfit and was perfect for a sprinkle lunch! However, lace can be a little hard to accessorize since there is already a lot of texture and detail.  I originally was going to wear a short, chunky navy gemstone necklace with the blouse, but it looked way too over the top! So, I stuck with my usual style, and I think the long blue Iolite and gold horn necklaces paired perfectly with the lace. I also threw on my favorite pearl bracelet to add an extra element of femininity.

Overall it was a perfect Sunday, and I can't wait for baby Ryan to arrive!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Xo,

Caitlin
