My Weekly Inspiration

I noticed one of the main fashion trends this Spring was bright floral print dresses like the photo above (found on Pinterest).  I love the mixture of all the vibrant colors against the white background.  I also love how effortless this dress is.   You could just throw it on after a day at the beach/pool and head straight to dinner...perfect for Summer!

I wanted to design a necklace that was as vibrant and versatile as this dress.  I found a supplier who sold agate gemstones in every color imaginable.  To be honest, it was a little overwhelming.  I wanted my necklace to be colorful, but I didn't want it to look like a bedazzled rainbow.  So, I picked my 6 of my favorite colors in the dress to get the color scheme for my design.

I wanted my necklace to be versatile, so I designed it so it can be worn multiple ways- short, layered and long.  Right now, I am loving the multiple-wear necklace trend.  I mean what girl doesn't like having options, right?!

I love how the shorter look makes all the colors stand out.  It's my kind of statement necklace- noticeable but not too flashy!

I think the double strand look is perfect for the office (can add a little pop of color to a white button up blouse) or for a night out.  I usually wear double stranded necklaces like this one when I have to go to a cocktail party.  It adds the perfect amount of color to any little black dress.

Extra long, delicate necklaces are usually my go to.  They are perfect casual accessory.  You can layer them with other necklaces, or just wear it by itself with a t-shirt and jeans.

I really enjoy blogging about the inspiration behind my designs because it helps me archive my crazy thought process.  I hope you guys like it too!

Have a great rest of your week!

Xo,
