My 30th Birthday!
Red Dress: Asilio/Pink Clutch: Tory Burch/ Pumps: Valentino /bracelet: Boy Cherie/necklace: Boy Cherie
A few days ago, I turned the big 3-0. For a while now, I was really looking forward to turning 30. My twenties are filled with tons of fun and amazing memories, but they were also filled with a ton of silly insecurities, soul searching, and finding out who I really am. Now that I'm more confident and comfortable in my own skin, I'm looking forward to seeing what this new decade has in store for me :)
Since I'm getting married later this year, I wasn't going to throw myself a big birthday party. Joe, however, was super sweet and insisted that we do something special, so he through me a fun intimate dinner party with our closest friends and family.
The hardest part about turning 30 was figuring out what to wear! I wanted something fun, flirty and sophisticated. I luckily found the perfect red party dress online. It was exactly what I was looking for! My favorite part about the dress was the neckline. I am in love with the super low necklines for Spring and Summer...especially if accessorized with delicate, layered necklaces.
I designed this gold lariat necklace specifically for this dress. That's one good thing about being a jewelry designer...you can create the perfect accessory for any outfit! I wanted the gold triangle connector to fall right above the V of the dress, and I wanted to stick with neutral gold tones to compliment the vibrant red color. I also wore my pearl bracelet and light pink Tory Burch clutch to give a little variety to my look. It was hard finding a bra that wouldn't peek out, so I wore a cute cream and pink bralette underneath. As my mom told me, "if your bra is going to accidentally show, at least make it cute and feminine." My final touch was putting on my rock stud Valentinos to gear up for a rock studded birthday night!
